![]() MP for Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East Stuart McDonald and constituency MSP for Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Jamie Hepburn recently met up with Cumbernauld Citizens Advice Bureau advisers who were spending the day highlighting the services they offer and providing employment rights advice at the Antonine Centre. The SNP duo took the opportunity to discuss CAB’s work and the services they offer and the local representatives are now urging anyone seeking assistance or advice on employment rights to visit the CAB’s website: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/scotland/ Commenting on the event Mr McDonald said: “I was delighted to meet with advisors from the Cumbernauld CAB at the employment rights stall they were holding. “Similarly other local groups such as the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Unemployed Workers Centre also provide assistance and advice in these areas. “The protections and rights which employment law provides to workers must be protected and groups like CAB are often the front line in ensuring that this is the case. It is more important than ever that the budgets of such groups are protected.” Mr Hepburn added: “It was great to meet up with advisors from the local CAB and to get the chance to discuss their work. “Such stalls are a great way of reaching out to people who might be in need of such services but who aren’t aware of the assistance available.”
