Constituency MSP for Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Jamie Hepburn and Stuart McDonald MP for Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East, have welcomed the announcement that two local groups have been awarded grants by the Big Lottery Fund.

The SNP duo have now written to both groups to offer their congratulations and support.
Commenting on the announcement Mr Hepburn said:
“This is excellent news and I am certain that these awards will make a real difference to both Baird Memorial Primary School and to Hope Community Garden.
“I look forward to seeing these awards being put to good use and was pleased to learn of both groups’ success and their plans for making use of these grants.”
Mr McDonald also offered his congratulations following the announcement:
“The Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All programme represents a vital source of funding for local community groups and those making a difference locally. It is great to see that two fantastic local organisations have been successful in their applications.
“I would urge any other local community groups looking for one-off funding opportunities to visit their website and find out more about how to make an application.”
