Tonight we should have been holding a meaningful vote on the Prime Minster's deal with the EU. Last Thursday I took part in the debate, explaining why I would be voting against the PM's deal, and against a "no-deal" Brexit - just as many constituents had asked me to.
Like a majority of MPs I found the Prime Minister's justifcation for suspending the debate and postponing the meaningful vote utterly wanting and her failure even to allow MPs to decide whether to suspend the debate totally outrageous. Thanks to her red lines, the Prime Minister looks incapable of securing a deal that will have majority support - despite what seems an attempt to use lack of time to force it through - and that a second vote will be required to bring an end to the Brexit mess. #BrexitShambles
