Stuart McDonald MP for Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East and Jamie Hepburn MSP for Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, have today met with Pat Cahill the new Director for Sanctuary in Scotland.
Both Mr McDonald and Mr Hepburn met with Ms Cahill at Sanctuary’s offices in Cumbernauld where they discussed Sanctuary’s commitment to improving housing in the area going forward.
Commenting Mr McDonald said:
“It was interesting and informative today meeting with Pat Cahill the new Director for Sanctuary in Scotland and it was good to note the areas that Sanctuary will be focusing on in Cumbernauld in the future.
“It was also reassuring to hear that with the merger of Sanctuary in Scotland to be finalised soon, that they are committed to maintaining an office presence in the Cumbernauld area in order that they are accessible to their tenants.”
Mr Hepburn said:
“It was good to meet Pat Cahill for the first time today and to hear about Sanctuary’s continuing commitment to the Cumbernauld area.
“I’m sure that local residents will agree that the new properties that Sanctuary have already built in Cumbernauld have markedly improved the aesthetics of the area and I hope that this good work continues.”
